SLIDESHOW
Ashland's Fourth of July Parade was about as democratic as you can get. Anybody who wanted to participate was invited to join the procession.
No motorized vehicles or floats were allowed, but kids on bikes were encouraged.
Members of Lee's Lawnchair Brigade were on hand to blow bubbles at the crowd.
Barbara Boor led the crowd in singing "Happy Birthday" to the Hanover County railroad town, which is celebrating its 150th.
