The Richmond Vegetarian Festival

Where: Bryan Park

When: Saturday, June 21, 2008
Noon to 6 p.m.

Why: The Richmond Vegetarian Festival is an annual event that celebrates the vegetarian cause through food and entertainment. Held at Bryan Park, the summer festival features an eclectic mix of vegetarian dishes from local restaurants, as well as cooking demonstrations.

Organizers view the free event as an opportunity to reach out not only to fellow vegetarians and vegans but to meat-lovers as well. The festival is a project of Compassionate Action for Animals and the Vegetarian Society of Richmond. For more information, call 262-8507
