A man was shot at a South Richmond night club early Saturday morning, according to police.

Officers were dispatched around 3 a.m. to Club Illusion on the 1700 block of Broad Rock Boulevard after the shooting was reported.

The victim had suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and was initially thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries, said Richmond police Capt. David Martin.

After being transported to VCU Medical Center, the victim is now in stable condition, Martin said. No arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation.
