James River High School has been chosen as a 2008 model high school by the International Center for Leadership in Education.
Faculty from James River High presented during the 16th annual Model Schools Conference June 22-25 in Orlando, Fla. Mary Ellen Fines and Sharon Hoffert presented about best math practices, Laura Lay presented about social studies practices, and Bryan Carr presented on school counseling topics.
James River High School was selected as one of 23 model high schools throughout the country. Model elementary, middle, high and technical schools are selected by the International Center for Leadership in Education based on criteria for curriculum, instruction, community involvement, instructional decisions and other areas. A case study developed on James River High will be used as resource for education and policy.
