DANVILLE -- Two Maryland men have pleaded guilty to federal charges in the November robbery of a Henry County gun store.
Both 23-year-old Ronald Ganeous of Bladensburg, Md., and 23-year-old Timothy Oliver Jackson Jr. of Upper Marlboro, Md., pleaded guilty today to charges of robbery and use of a firearm in a robbery. The hearing was in U.S. District Court in Danville.
Police said 74 guns worth about $50,000 were taken during the November 13 robbery at Southern Gun in Collinsville. Authorities said several guns were recovered, but others likely were sold on the black market.
Ganeous and Jackson have been in custody since their arrest December 4 in Prince George's County, Md. They will be sentenced later.
