Owners of businesses located in a fire-ravaged office building on Sadler Place in the Innsbrook Corporate Center in western Henrico County gathered today to assess the damage.
"We're all a little devastated," said Cindy Richards, owner of the Richmond Hope Therapy Center, which operated on the first floor of the building.
Her office and equipment was destroyed. She hopes to resume physical therapy sessions for children with special needs in a new location in two weeks.
The "Lose the Training Wheels" camp that she operates for children with special needs will continue Aug. 4-8 at the University of Richmond.
Gary Hutchison, Henrico's assistant fire marshal, estimated that more than half of the two-story structure was lost in the fire and the rest was damaged by smoke and water.
About a half-dozen businesses had offices in the building, at 5030 Sadler Place.
The two-alarm fire was reported about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
No cause has been determined. The building was to be boarded up at midday.
