A woman convicted of running a prostitution ring in the Richmond area and in Virginia Beach pleaded guilty yesterday to a federal tax charge. Theresa Faye Hope, 54, of Virginia Beach admitted underreporting her 2004 income by $114,949 and is facing a maximum of three additional years behind bars when sentenced Nov. 7 by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson.

Plagiarism, like pornography, can be tough to define. Two students recently kicked off a U.Va. study-abroad ship for plagiarizing said they didn't know they had done anything wrong. Ethicists and experts said that's because plagiarism can be a moving target.
