Madonna turns 50 on Saturday, but age hasn't impeded her style. On her world tour, which launches later this month in Europe, Madonna will be dressed by French fashion designer Givenchy. So far, two "goth-inspired" outfits have been created for the "Sticky and Sweet" tour, which only comes as close as Philadelphia on Nov. 20. . . . Metallica will embark on its first U.S. tour in four years beginning Oct. 21 in Arizona. The band has a Jan. 15 date penciled in at the Verizon Center in D.C. . . . U2 is releasing its first concert home video, "Live at Red Rocks," on DVD on Sept. 30. The release coincides with the arrival of a remastered version of 1983's "Under a Blood Red Sky" album. The DVD includes five previously unreleased songs, a director's commentary and surround sound. The concert was filmed in June 1983 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver. . . . Usher and Keith Urban have been tapped to open the 2008 NFL season with a free concert Sept. 4 in New York's Columbus Circle. Highlights of the show will air on the NFL Network, NFL.com and Sprint's NFL Mobile Live, as well as on NBC the following day. Speaking of music and football, Bruce Springsteen and E Street Band are rumored to already be committed to playing the Super Bowl, but the authority on all things Bruce (www.backstreets.com), says it isn't a done deal yet. . . . Tomorrow, starting at 7 p.m., Slipknot fans can head to any Hot Topic clothing store to hear the band's new album, "All Hope is Gone," played in its entirety. The album will be released Aug. 26.
