Athlete of the year

Emma DeJarnette, Atlee - The Raiders' junior pole vaulter was the queen of consistency and unbeatable at the end-of-the-year events. DeJarnette captured the Southern Track Classic, Capital District and Central Region titles before adding the outdoors state Group AAA championship to the indoor title she claimed this year. Her 12-0 vault at the state outdoors meet equaled the Group AAA record. She has another year to shoot for the state record (12-10 by a Group AA vaulter).
