Player of the year

Kyle Parker, Mills Godwin -- The Eagles' No. 1 player for the third year in a row re-captured the Central Region singles title (won as freshman) and is the player of the year for the third time. Parker won the Colonial District singles as well. He and All-Metro teammate Kevin Calhoun won the district and region doubles championships before falling in the state final to Robinson High's Drew Courtney and Stephen Hardy, a team Parker and Calhoun beat in the state team final. The Eagles won the district and region team titles and reached the final of the state team tournament where they lost in a nail-biting match to Robinson. It was the Eagles' only loss of the year.
