LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Francisley Bueno combined with four relievers on a sevenhit shutout as the Richmond Braves beat Louisville 2-0 last night at Louisville Slugger Field.

Bueno (1-1) threw six scoreless innings as Richmond recorded its second shutout and widened its International League South Division lead to 5½ games over Charlotte. He allowed five hits and struck out five.

The left-hander was able to keep the shutout intact in the sixth by getting Adam Rosales to ground into a double play with the bases loaded.

The Bats also loaded the bases in the eighth with two outs, but Phil Stockman got Ryan Hanigan to fly out to end the threat. Zach Schreiber finished with a perfect ninth for his fifth save.

Richmond took the lead in the seventh with a two-out rally. Brandon Jones singled and stole second. After Barbaro Canizares walked, Diory Hernandez singled home Jones.

Canizares (two hits) padded Richmond's lead with a home run in the ninth. Louisville's Paul Janish finished with a single, double and triple. He grounded out in the ninth, his last attempt to hit for the cycle.
