Past Richmond Golf Association Senior Championship winners Glenn Mullian and Jeff Bostic teamed to win the rain-delayed RGA Senior Two-Man Championship at Lake Chesdin Golf Club yesterday.

Mullian, a two-time RGA Senior winner, and Bostic, the reigning Senior champ, carded a bogey-free 8-under-par 64, three shots clear of runners-up Bert Wilson, the RGA's vice president, and Arthur Utley. RGA President Van Williams and John Dozier were another stroke back after a 68.

One of Mullian's Senior titles came at Lake Chesdin.

The winners toured their first nine holes (shotgun start) in 2 under with Mullian supplying both birdies. They notched six birdies on the back nine.

This was the first year the RGA scheduled a separate Senior Two-Man event. The 18-hole tournament originally was scheduled in April but was washed out. Yesterday's start was delayed because of rain, and players finished just before another downpour.

Mullian now has 12 RGA titles to his credit.

In addition to the overall winner, the field was split into two flights. Ronnie Adams and Mike Weisburg won the second flight on a match of cards with Tom Rash-Herman Ritter and Tony Aguiar-Alvin Hunter.

Motin Yeung (69) of Orlando, Fla., and Grayson Murray (71) of Raleigh, N.C., are two behind at 140.

The highlight of McCarthy's round was a six-birdie 30 on the back nine.
