WOOD'S WINNERS

Third race - No. 4 Generalissimo is a pacesetter that gets a nice class drop in this race. On June 11, the colt nearly went gate to wire but just weakened before the finish to settle for a close fourth. No. 7 Triplekin is from the hot Ferris Allen barn and is fresh off a maiden win June 11. Craig Gibbs is back up top but the going may be a bit tougher here. No. 6 Ovechkin has finished fourth in five of his last six starts. Luckily, his namesake was top dog for Washington's Caps. No. 4 to win.

Fourth race - We'll try a bit of an upset here with No. 3 Guardian Spirit, who could flourish by going back to a turf route here. Making her second start for the Carlos Garcia barn, she could be poised to succeed, especially with Luis Garcia in the irons. No. 8 I Love To Say Yes is just 1 for 24 on grass, but gets her easiest outing in a while. No. 6 Wild Ball is 1 for 2 at Colonial Downs and Karamanos could urge this mare into the show position. No. 3 has the spirit with her.

Sevcnth race - No. 1 Sporting Print could get trainer Ham Smith back to the winners circle. The 4-year-old gelding broke his maiden here last summer but it's been slim pickings since. He's back at the sprint distance, which is a plus. No. 5 Vicar's Tune is fresh off a pair of nice starts and veteran rider Santagata should be right in the chase. No. 4 Disco Dude makes his ninth start of the year, but this will be just his second on turf. He's in tough company, but it's a modest sized field. No. 1 is the pick.
