Rachel Naurath, Collegiate -- In a close race with Rebecca Rainer, Naurath earns the top accolade with her dominance in the freestyle events. The Cougars' sophomore captain had the best times during the short-course season in the longer races (500, 1,000 and 1,650) and shared the best in the 200. Naurath had the second best time in the 100 free as well as the 200 and 400 individual medley. She set state records in the 200 and 500 free and 200 free relay at the VSIS meet and was on the winning 200 medley relay quartet. She was chosen swimmer of the meet. Her 200 and 500 times earned automatic All-American status.
