Katie Blow, Mills Godwin - A solid season for Mills Godwin's No. 1 player became even better down the stretch when Blow captured the Colonial District and Central Region singles titles and advanced to the final of the state Group AAA singles tournament where she finished as the runner-up. After a regular- season loss to Deep Run, Mills Godwin didn't lose another team match. Blow led off each match with a victory as the Eagles swept the region and state team championships. The lineup returns intact next year. She finished the year 25-2 with the losses coming to last year's state champ Kristin Nimitz and this year's winner, Yillian Zhang of Westfield. Blow is a repeat All-Metro selection.
