Zach Morgan, Benedictine - The Cadets' career leading scorer (76 goals) led Benedictine to the VISAA state championship last fall. He had a goal and two assists in the final and finished the year with 34 goals (a single-season record) and 14 assists. The Cadets were ranked No. 16 in the country, and Morgan was named VISAA player of the year. He has been first-team all-state and All-Metro the past two years. In his three years as a full-time starter, the Cadets played in two state title games and lost in the semifinals in 2005. Morgan will continue his career at VMI.
Ian Stowe, Clover Hill - Despite losing players and coach Mike Anderson to new school Cosby, the Cavaliers still had Stowe's steady presence and control at center midfield. The Cavaliers finished tied for second in the district, and Stowe had 10 goals and 11 assists. He was named the Dominion District and Central Region player of the year. He repeats as a first-team All-Metro selection. He was an all-Group AAA pick last season as a junior. Stowe is headed to William and Mary in the fall, where he will join last year's co-player of the year Roger Bothe on the soccer team.
