Kickers hand Pittsburgh loss

PITTSBURGH -- Ricky Schramm scored a first-half goal, and Anthony Catalano and David Bulow added goals in the second frame to lead the Richmond Kickers to a 3-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Sunday night in a United Soccer Leagues Second Division game.

Midfielder Adrian Bumbut assisted on Richmond's first two goals, and Stanley Nyazamba was credited with an assist when his shot to the far post was tapped in by Bulow.

After Richmond took a 3-0 lead, Justin Evans scored Pittsburgh's goal on a penalty kick in second-half injury time.

Backup keeper Mark Murphy made his first start of the season for the Kickers and had two saves for his first pro victory.
